OPERAM (OPtimising thERapy to prevent Avoidable hospital admissions in the Multimorbid elderly) is a multidisciplinary and international research collaboration, which is funded by European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). 2000 patients with the age of 70 years or older were included.

The overall aim of OPERAM (OPtimising thERapy to prevent Avoidable hospital admissions in the Multimorbid elderly) is to optimise existing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy primarily in order to reduce avoidable hospital admissions among the elderly population aged ≥70 years with multimorbidity.
